I met Megan years ago when she was a bridesmaid at another wedding I was fortunate enough to shoot. I loved her from the beginning. When I heard that she was engaged, I held my fingers so tight that I’d hear from her. Thank God I did.
Megan & Dillon just get one another. These photos are adorable, but trust me when I tell you, this wasn’t a show. I am certain they are this cute and giggly whether I am there or not. They also had me belly laughing in the tall grass and that is no easy task. We had the greatest adventure together, enjoying the wind and the warmth of the sun. The light danced for these two and searching for it wasn’t an option. It was just there with purpose. I have to believe there is a message of inevitability and a quiet, approving applaud. The light showed me that.
When I asked them to come up with wedding wishes for their lanterns, Dillon wished that “they always help others in need.” Selfless & lovely.
These two are steady and strong. I look forward to watching their lives intertwine and create goodness within one another and the world around them.
