I sincerely believe that photography found me during a time in my life when I was desperate for direction. I took a black & white medium format film class and finally felt like I understood the meaning of home. When I am photographing, I am at peace because I am surrounded by the things I value most – family, nature, friendship, true love. I am not interested in props and gimmicks or keeping up with the latest shots on Pinterest. I am only interested in capturing images, expressions, scenes & moments that are honest and warm and more true than you may even realize.
I take the responsibility I’ve been given seriously and I place a high value on sincerity & vulnerability. My clients always become my friends and I believe that is when the magic truly happens… (when the guard is completely down.) It takes great trust between you & me to create that kind of beautiful art. Not just a photograph, but a forever kind of treasure.
My father once told me that my heart fills to bursting which is both a blessing and a curse. I proudly agree with him.
Although I currently reside in Mount Airy, NC with my guys (1 husband, 2 sons, 2 pups), I am always ready for an adventure and am more than willing to travel. I look forward to hearing from you!
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jordan in a multitude of facets under all three of my wedding businesses, and I cannot boast enough about her creative talent, vibrant spirit, and exceptional professionalism. Jordan’s photography methodology makes beautiful use of warm, natural light to gracefully capture soulful moments with luminous vibrancy. She is an authentic storyteller with an honest, nonintrusive style… a virtuous preserver of ethereal love and organic humanity. She gives life to unnoticed moments that capture fleeting realities others are unaware they’re even missing. Her images provoke timeless emotion, giving clients pieces of meaningful art they can experience, not just pictures to see. When working with Jordan, you’re guaranteed a perfect embodiment of your day through an impassioned, heartfelt experience.”

“Jordan took the time to get to know our family before photographing our daughter’s wedding. There were a few images that we requested, but really left the rest up to her. The end result is an amazing chronicle of the day with images of human emotion, interactions and expression. Her passion and creativity comes to life through her lens. Plus – she’s just so kind and thoughtful! We are grateful for the relationship, as well as the incredible

“Jordan sees the world and her subjects in ways others are unable. As I worked with her through the development of a styled shoot, she gave me artistic freedom to tell the story that was on my heart and she brought a quiet calmness to our shoot the day-of. Jordan was so very easy to talk to and work with, and it always felt that she was constantly turning over this project in her mind I preparation for shooting. She is great at reading her subjects – giving direction when needed to capture a moment and also able to simply watch her subjects’ natural movement and beautifully capture that. I’m so grateful for the gift she shared with me through her work.”

“While many great photographers are made so because of their talent, Jordan was born with an incredible gift that she shares with the the world through her lens. Her sixth sense to see into the heart and soul of her subjects, and then capture that in her images is breathtaking and nothing short of amazing. I feel so fortunate to call Jordan my friend, and my one and only photographer!”

“For brides who haven’t had their bridal portraits done yet, I have a few pieces of advice. The first being not to skimp on hiring a quality photographer. This is crucial. The photos will last a lifetime, and someone with a general passion, talent, and eye for photography makes all the difference. I was lucky enough to know Jordan Brannock. She was the first “vendor” that I hired and I knew my wedding and photos would be a lull without her touch. I always told her that I could have worn a burlap sac and had my photos taken at the landfill and she would have made them exquisite.”
“I don’t even have the words to express what your photography does to people. The way you capture every nuance of exuberance, confidence, and strength through vulnerability, and how the honesty of the images you produce speaks joy deeply and satisfyingly into the human heart. You do all of this with great skill, artistry and authority and you do it over and over again, in new settings with new people, with such a sweet and caring spirit.”

“I can’t thank you enough, Jordan – what I’ve seen thus far took me right back to that day which, if you go back to our first conversation, is all that I ever really wanted. Finding a friend in the beautiful soul behind the camera is an “icing on the cake” type of sweet surprise that life greets you with occasionally to remind you that beautiful souls are still out there.”
“Jordan captured the essence of our relationship — the humor, the tenderness, the joy and the deeply felt love. She made an effort to know us as individuals and as a couple in a short period of time, and during the shoot, our level of comfort with her and her appreciation for us allowed for an easy and enjoyable experience. We couldn’t believe the beauty she was able to coax out of a somewhat dreary day of weather. We will always cherish our engagement photographs and hold a special place in our hearts and memories for Jordan.”
